My yoga journey isn't a fairytale: On January 26th, 2019, at the peak of my anxiety, I found myself reluctantly dragged to a yoga studio by a concerned friend. As I entered the space, a mixture of apprehension and curiosity filled me. Little did I know, this experience would mark the beginning of a profound transformation.
The challenge began with the instructor inviting us to lay down and simply observe our breath for two minutes. Those two minutes felt like an eternity as waves of panic threatened to engulf me. My heart raced, my body tensed, and that familiar knot in my chest tightened. Yet, amidst the chaos of my mind, a glimmer of hope emerged. With each conscious breath, I found a sliver of calm amidst the storm.
As the class progressed, I continued to navigate the ebb and flow of my emotions, each posture and breath offering a momentary reprieve from the turmoil within. And then came savasana - the final resting pose. As I surrendered into stillness, I felt a profound sense of peace wash over me. In that moment, I realized the transformative power of yoga and the journey began.
Fast forward five years, and yoga has become an integral part of my life. Through countless classes, workshops, and retreats, I've honed my practice, deepening my understanding of both the physical and spiritual dimensions of yoga.
Completing my 200hr and 300hr teacher training programs was a pivotal moment in my journey. It was during these immersive experiences that I truly found my voice as a teacher, discovering the profound joy of sharing the gift of yoga. Each class I lead is an opportunity to create a sacred space for exploration, growth, and connection - a space where students can journey inward and discover the wisdom that lies within.
But yoga is about so much more than just physical postures. It's a philosophy, a way of life - a path to greater self-awareness, compassion, and inner peace. So, as I continue on this journey, I invite you to join me - to step onto the mat and into the heart of yoga. Together, let us explore the boundless possibilities that await. My Offer
In 2021, I completed my 200-hour teacher training with East + West Yoga in Costa Rica, followed by the 300-hour training in Bali in 2022. Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege to learn from esteemed instructors such as Deep Kumar, Vijeth Kumar, Punnu Wasu, Lauren Cohen, Katie Baki, Paul Teodo, Christine Anderson, Kimberley Utama, and Monk Greg Burdulis, among others, continually seeking inspiration from teachers worldwide.
In my classes, I strive to create a soulful, thoughtful, and fluid experience, allowing students to move at their own pace with dedication and grace. Rooted in yoga philosophy, I aim to integrate these teachings into my classes in an accessible and authentic manner.
For me, yoga transcends mere physical exercise; it is a holistic life practice. Beyond the asana practice, there is profound depth to yoga, and I invite my students to explore and embody its essence. Let's embark on this journey together, living our yoga both on and off the mat.
